Monterey Shorts 2: More on the Line A new anthology of short stories
Now available |
First there was Monterey Shorts--tales of the Central Coast from yesterday,
today and tomorrow. There you read about Woody the would-be detective,
about growing up in Carmel Valley, about Pacific Grove as a spooky parallel
reality, about a return to the World War II officers' club at Fort Ord.
Oh, there was more. Now comes Monterey Shorts 2: More on the Line. And we've got shorts galore this time. Each of our writers has written two stories for this volume--twenty stories in total. This time the stories cover many genres, including historical fiction, fantasy, horror, mystery, and romance. There are standard fiction stories as well. You'll visit some new locales this time--lighthouses, both at Big Sur and at Point Piños; a ranch in the Sierra de Salinas; the Monterey Sanitary Waste Disposal Plant and the Red Cross blood bank; Monterey Peninsula College, to name a few. Woody's back, still fighting crime, and back, too, is Ariel, but in a surprising role. Donya makes a loveable debut with her quiet wisdom and culinary touch. Theo and Lavinia share companion stories. Find out more about the stories in this volume. |
